How soon can I move in and is there a waiting list?
Generally there is a waiting list at Southbrook depending on the type of Suite you are looking for. Please call and ask to speak to Community Relations Manager for more information at 905-456-3334.
What is the cost of living at Southbrook Retirement?
Monthly rates vary by the type, size and care an individual requires.

Are all meals included in the package?
Yes, all meals are included in our monthly rate. Breakfast is a la carte and lunch and dinner offer two delicious entrees. Special diets can be offered upon request
Do you provide Recreational programs?
Yes, we provide a variety of recreational programs to all our residents. Please see our social calendar for an outlook for the month.
Are the Suites furnished?
No, our Suites are not furnished, but they are spacious and allow for a significant amount of furniture. You are encouraged to bring pictures, paintings, plants and much more to make it feel like home.
Do you have separate suites for residents who have dementia?
Yes, we have an Assisted Living area that is monitored by our nursing department 24 hours a day for residents with special needs. Our Assisted Living area has its own social calendar for programming to suit their specific needs.
Do you offer a Guest Suite stay?
Yes, we offer Guest Suite stays for people who are interested in perusing Southbrook. It may be a big transition for some people and they may feel more comfortable in trying a short stay in helping them make this decision. So come and book a short holiday at Southbrook and get the feeling of home sweet home.
Will I be able to have family and friends in for a meal or visit?
Yes, your guests and families are always welcomed at Southbrook. All you have to do is book a reservation with reception to ensure availability in the private dinning area.

Do I have to sit at the same table for each meal?
Yes, there are two different meals times, 1st & 2nd seating. We also have assigned seating for our residents to enjoy a comfortable and relaxing spot to call their own.No, we encourage people to circulate and meet as many community members as possible. We have several larger communal tables as well where 6-10 people can sit and enjoy time together and we have smaller tables as well. There will be open spans of time for each meal time, not specific times or sittings that one must be there for. So you come to the dining room at your leisure anytime in that span for each meal.
What are the meal times and do we have to sit at the same table for all our meals?
We have 2 meal seating’s that you get to choose from:
1st seating Breakfast: 7:45am Lunch: 11:45am & Dinner: 5:00pm
2nd seating: Breakfast: 9:00am Lunch: 1:00pm & Dinner: 6:30pm
Every resident receives of a new menu weekly and yes we do have assigned seating for all our residents.
